A decade of good food

Our favorite Bigby's Cafe' and Restaurant just turned 10 years old last December 8 and as a way of thanking their loyal patrons, they throw out an eat-all-you-can buffet for only P249.00 (inclusive of an ice tea). It was certainly one of my most awaited event every December, since Bigby's hold this annually.

We were able to first join in the fun in 2006, when I was still in Cagayan De Oro for an immersion training for my previous company. Last year, their SM Davao resto run-out of tickets when we got there, that we ended up eating at Red Ribbon (which was not a bad idea either). This year, we got the tickets a day earlier, just to make sure that we'll be accommodated.I even invited friends and officemates to check it out, and they did.

From pasta, to their tender porkloin, beefies, fish fillets and the heavenly chocolate cakes...it was certainly all worth it.

Thank you Bigby's for that blow-out buffet party! Happy anniversary, more power and more years to come.

Protein-energy malnutrition (PEM) and micronutrient deficiencies remain the leading nutritional problems in the Philippines. The general declining trend in the prevalence of underweight, wasting and stunting among Filipino children noted in the past 10 years was countered with the increase in the prevalence rate in 1998. About 4 million (31.8%) of the preschool population were found to be underweight-for-age, 3 million (19.8%) adolescents and 5 million (13.2%) adults, including older persons were found to be underweight and chronically energy deficient, respectively.
