You are what you sing...

I certainly love music.

I wouldn't know what the world would be without it. And there are just so many songs, that I really really love. Songs that I listen to everyday. Songs that make me smile, make me cry, long for someone, feel good, hurt and get inspired.

Someone told me before - "You are what you sing". I guess this is 70% true.In my case it's even 80-90% true. The song that I like, it's message and mood, certainly reflects the emotions that I have in a particular time and day. I guess my huge song library(thanks to radio, I worked as a DJ before), helped me become very very attached to songs, that when I feel something, a song would just pop up and it would reveal the exact or similar feeling that I have.

Nowadays, I'm singing about longing for someone...(I don't wanna divulge the title of the song). I guess it reflects my over-all being. I may be denying it, but i guess I am indeed missing someone. Hmmm....

I was born to love you

Since it's the love month, I'd like to share to you one of my most favorite love songs of all time. It's George Duke's "Born to love you". I first heard it when I was still a DJ for a Jazz radio station here in our city. It's actually a love song, about a person who is falling in love with someone, yet he is hesitant, because of the many pains that he has gone through before...My favorite line from the song is the second verse.

Such a lovely face with a warm and tender smile, though I want you so found in deep inside keep saying..."don't trust your heart this time", could my mind be playing games...Am I so betrayed that my heart and mind can never be the same....

I hope you find delight in this beautiful song, and you'd finally found the one that you can say..."I was born to love you..."

Jump Shot

It's not a kind of basketball shot or something. It's one craze that me and friends are addicted to. We call it picture-taking, and it's not just an ordinary picture-taking. This one is really really tiring and it takes a lot of patience, a handful of energy, and timing. Timing is needed specially if the camera your using ain't high tech enough to catch that intricate, most important site. Of course, what I'm referring to is having our pictures taken while jumping up up and a way. I'll show you some pics, that I myself took. It was so fun, one jump ain't enough.

The Lost Generation

My boss let us check this wonderful video blog on Youtube. You have to pay attention. The message of this video blog is so striking and the way it was conveyed is just so amazing. How I wish I could have written this myself. It's simply astonishing. Check it out.

A grammatically challenged love story

This funny love story was published on the Philippine Daily Inquirer in 2007 and has circulated in e-mails all over. I lost my copy of this, since I left my previous company. Good thing it is still in the web. This is specifically made for Filipinos. Really funny.

This affectionate parody of English as spoken and written by Pinoys/nays has been in wildfire circulation on the Net among kababayan with memories of the Old School.

A LOVE STORY

We've been friends since a long time ago. We come from the same alma mother. Actually, our paths crossed one time on another. But it's only now that I gave him a second look. I realize that beauty is in the eyes. The pulpbits of my heart went fast, really fast. Cute pala siya!

And then, he came over with me. He said, "I hope you don't mine. Can I take your number?" Nag-worry ako. What if he doesn't give it back? He explained naman na it's so we could keep intact daw. Sabi ko, connect me if I'm wrong but are you asking me ouch? Nabigla siya. Sagot niya, "The!" Aba! Parang siya pa ang galit! Persona ingrata!!! Ang kapal niya! I cried buckles of tears.

Na-guilty yata siya. Sabi niya, “Isipin mo na lang na this is a blessing in the sky.” Irregardless daw of his feelings, we'll go ouch na rin. Now we're so in love! Mute and epidemic na ang past. Thanks God we swallowed our fried. Kasi, I'm 33 na and I'm running out the time.

After 2 weeks, he plopped the question. "Will you married me?" I'm still in a state of shocked. Kasi mantakin mo naman, when its rain, it's really fours talaga! This is true good to be true. So siyempre, Isaid yes. Love is a many splendor, di ba?

Pero nung inaayos ko na ang aming kasal, everything swell to pieces. Nag-di-dinner kami noon nang biglang sa harap ng aming table, may babaeng humirit ng, "Well, well, well. Look do we have here." What the fuss... The nerd ng babaeng yon! She said they were still too on.

So I told her, "Whatever is that means, cut me some slacks, ‘no!" I didn't want this to get our hand kaya I had to sip it in the bud. She accused me of steeling her boyfriend. The nerd talaga! Ats if! I don't never want to portrait the role of the other woman. Gosh, tell her to the marines! I told her, "Please, you should to mine your own business!"

Who would believed her anyway? Dahil it's not my problem anymore but her problem anymore. Hmphf. Tumigil na rin siya ng panggugulo. Everything is coming up daisies! I'm so happy. Even my boyfriend said liketwice. He's so supportive. Sabi niya, "Look at is this way. She's out of our lives."

Kaya I advised you - take the risk! You can never can tell. Just burn the bridge when you get there. Life is shorts. If you make a mistake, well, just pray for the internal and external repose of your soul. I second emotion.

The Tomato Story

This is one of my favorite stories...And yes I got this in an e-mail

A Jobless man applied for the position of "office boy" at Microsoft.
The HR manager interviewed him then watched him cleaning the floor as a test.

"You are employed" he said. Give me your e-mail address and I'll send you the application to fill in, as well as date when you may start.

The man replied "But I don't have a computer, neither an email".

"I'm sorry", said the HR manager. If you don't have an email, that means you do not exist. And who doesn't exist, cannot have the job."

The man left with no hope at all. He didn't know what to do, with only $10 in his pocket. He then decided to go to the supermarket and buy a 10Kg tomato crate.
He then sold the tomatoes in a door to door round. In less than two hours,
he succeeded to double his capital. He repeated the operation three times,
and returned home with $60.

The man realized that he can survive by this way, and started to go everyday earlier, and return late. Thus, his money doubled or tripled everyday.

Shortly, he bought a cart, then a truck, and then he had his own fleet of delivery vehicles.

5 years later, the man is one of the biggest food retailers in the US ...
He started to plan his family's future, and decided to have a life insurance.

He called an insurance broker, and chose a protection plan.
When the conversation was concluded the broker asked him his email.
The man replied,"I don't have an email."
The broker answered curiously, "You don't have an email, and yet have succeeded to build an empire. Can you imagine what you could have been if you had an e mail?!!" The man thought for a while and replied, "Yes, I'd be an office boy at Microsoft!"

Moral of the story
Moral 1
Internet is not the solution to your life.
Moral 2
If you don't have Internet, and work hard, you can be a millionaire.
Moral 3
If you received or read this message,
you are closer to being a office boy/girl,than a millionaire..........
